Hotboii Caught Sneaking Onto Florida School Grounds With a Loaded Gun at 3 A.M.

Early Morning Intrusion Sparks Police Chase at Doral Academy

Before sunrise on Wednesday morning, Florida rapper Hotboii found himself in a situation that felt more like a scene from a thriller than real life. At approximately 3:40 a.m., police in the City of Doral responded to a report of two suspicious males running through the parking lot of Doral International Academy of Math and Science. Surveillance footage soon confirmed what officers had begun to suspect. One of the individuals was the rising rap artist known as Hotboii.

According to the police report obtained by TMZ Hip Hop, Hotboii climbed a fence on the south side of the school campus. Security cameras showed him throwing a black Carhartt bag over another barrier that separates the school from a nearby gated neighborhood. Using both the footage and physical searches, officers quickly worked to track down the suspect.

When they located the bag, officers discovered a fully loaded black Glock 45 9mm pistol inside. A records check escalated the case immediately. Hotboii is a convicted felon who is currently on probation following a previous RICO-related conviction. As such, he is legally prohibited from owning or carrying a firearm. What started as a trespassing call now had the makings of a serious criminal charge.

Weapon Discovery Leads to Felony Charges for Probation Violation

After recovering the weapon, police arrested Hotboii and charged him with multiple felonies. These include illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition by a convicted felon, as well as trespassing on school property. The discovery of the loaded gun intensified the situation, transforming a school grounds intrusion into a potentially career-defining legal crisis.

Hotboii, whose real name is Javarri Latre Walker, has a history with the criminal justice system. He previously served three years behind bars following his involvement in a large-scale RICO case that also affected other Florida artists. Earlier this year, in February, he was briefly detained on unrelated matters. Those charges were eventually dropped. This time, however, the stakes are much higher.

Authorities have not released the name of the second individual seen on school property, nor have they confirmed whether that person has been identified or arrested. As for Hotboii, he is expected to appear before a judge in the coming days, where it will be determined whether his probation will be revoked.

Career on Pause as Legal Drama Unfolds Again

This arrest arrives at a pivotal moment in Hotboii’s career. The 24-year-old rapper has been teasing a new album and building momentum with fans who see him as one of the most promising voices in Florida hip hop. Now, with multiple felony charges and the possibility of a probation violation, his musical progress may be forced into a standstill.

People within the music industry have often described Hotboii as a survivor. He is seen as someone capable of overcoming legal setbacks and continuing to make impactful music. However, being caught with a firearm on school grounds presents a challenge that cannot be ignored, especially for someone still under court supervision.

At this point, his focus must shift from the recording booth to the courtroom. If convicted, Hotboii could face significant prison time. Whether his next chapter is told through lyrics or through legal transcripts remains to be seen.
