Barbara Palvin is defending her choice to return to the runway six weeks after welcoming her first child. The 33-year-old Hungarian model walked in the 2026 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in October, weeks after she and husband Dylan Sprouse welcomed their daughter Sylvie on September 7. Speaking at the Sprouse House Halloween Party in Los Angeles on October 31, Palvin addressed the mixed response to her appearance at the show.

“Honestly, there were 50-50 with the reactions,” she told E! News. “Some people loved that I was back, and some people were like, maybe I should be resting at home.”

Finding Support in Her Circle

Although Palvin said she felt “overwhelmed” by the widespread reaction to her runway return, she credited her support system with making the appearance possible. “I’m lucky that I have the support from my husband and my family, and they were able to get me there,” she shared. For other new mothers navigating similar decisions, she offered straightforward advice: “Don’t be scared to ask for help.”

Sprouse’s Front-Row Support

Sprouse, 34, attended the show and became a focal point himself when he stood and cheered as Palvin walked the runway, a moment that drew attention online. In the joint interview, he addressed the reaction to his display of support. “I’m as proud as I could possibly be,” he said. “It’s a difficult thing to do.” He pushed back against treating his behavior as noteworthy, saying it “shouldn’t be extraordinary to cheer for someone that you love walking and doing something that you’re proud of them for.”

Palvin noted that Sprouse’s attendance was itself uncertain. “That he caught his flight and he didn’t miss the show,” she said of her reaction to seeing him in the front row. “He was coming home from filming, so I was worried he’s not gonna make it.”

First Halloween as Parents

The couple has since moved into another milestone: their first Halloween with Sylvie. They attended the Halloween party dressed as characters from The Nightmare Before Christmas—Sprouse as Jack Skellington and Palvin as Oogie Boogie—while their daughter cycled through costumes. “She’s a pumpkin by now, dude. She’s a pumpkin. She hit her pumpkin hour,” Sprouse said. “She started as a princess, of course.”
