Alessandra Ambrosio returns for her 20th Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show
The 45-year-old model marked two decades on the runway for the lingerie brand at Sunday's show in Los Angeles, alongside fellow veteran Angels including Candice Swanepoel and Adriana Lima.

Alessandra Ambrosio returned to the Victoria’s Secret runway on Sunday in Los Angeles, marking her 20th appearance for the lingerie brand. The 45-year-old model, who first walked for the brand in 2000 and earned Angel status in 2004, wore two distinct looks during the evening.
For her opening segment, Ambrosio stepped out in a voluminous high-low skirt cut with a bubble hem at the front and an extended train in back, layered beneath a sparkling overlay bra. The dramatic striped silhouette emphasized her legs, paired with bright pink stilettos and dangly earrings. Her second appearance featured a white bra and briefs set off by silver fringed wings, accessorized with sparkly bracelets, earrings and silver heels. When the show concluded, she led the assembled models down the runway as they walked to the Spice Girls’ 1996 song “Say You’ll Be There.”
Past honors and this year’s Fantasy Bra
The special honor went to Kylie Jenner this year for her Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show debut. Designer Jacob Arabo of Jacob & Co. characterized Jenner’s piece as “the most expensive Fantasy Bra ever made.”
Victoria’s Secret announced Ambrosio’s participation through Instagram days before the runway event, showing her at a fitting with a giant “20” in pink Mylar balloons. “They say patience is a virtue, but we know you’ve waited long enough,” the brand wrote.
Retirement and return
Ambrosio had announced her retirement from the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in 2017, though she returned to the runway in 2024 and 2025 before Sunday’s performance. She shared the catwalk with other longtime Angels including Candice Swanepoel, Adriana Lima and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. The show featured musical performances from Megan Thee Stallion, Megan Moroney, Tate McRae and Katseye.
Swanepoel, a South African model discovered at 15, has maintained a particularly enduring presence with Victoria’s Secret since 2007, when she first appeared in the show. She earned official Angel wings in 2010 and has walked in nine shows between 2007 and 2018. For Sunday’s performance, she wore multiple looks including a gold chainmail pareo styled with turquoise accents, a crystal-encrusted white bra with ice-inspired wings, and a pastel pink lace bodysuit with arm wings and a floral headpiece.
