Dr. Sheila Farhang launches DOSE (OF) DERM, a dermatologist-developed makeup brand
The board-certified dermatologist has created a new category of makeup—Clinical Color Cosmetics—that combines high-performance color with clinical skincare ingredients.
Board-certified dermatologist Dr. Sheila Farhang announced the launch of DOSE (OF) DERM on October 20, a makeup brand she describes as the first dermatologist-developed skin longevity line. The brand introduces what Farhang calls Clinical Color Cosmetics, pairing high-performance color with clinical skincare ingredients, according to the announcement.
Farhang, who founded Avant Dermatology & Aesthetics in Tucson and Beverly Hills and is the newest doctor on Dr. Pimple Popper, created the brand after a decade of hearing patients express the same desire: makeup with real coverage that also benefits skin. She developed the concept partly from her own experience with postpartum melasma.
The Flagship Foundation
The All-in-One Clinical Foundation, priced at $68, serves as the brand’s hero product. It is formulated as a six-in-one product designed to protect, correct, conceal, brighten, hydrate and smooth. The foundation launches in six shades with buildable coverage, a lightweight silky feel and a soft-focus finish meant to blur pores, fine lines and uneven texture. It includes mineral Broad Spectrum SPF 45 with 25 percent zinc oxide.
The formula contains a proprietary blend Farhang calls the TriBiome Longevity Complex, combining plant-derived exosomes, biomimetic peptides and microbiome-supporting postbiotics. Beyond this proprietary complex, the foundation includes stable vitamin C for antioxidant support, hyaluronic acid for hydration, a peptide designed to work like retinol in softening fine lines, plant extracts for soothing and antioxidant benefits, and an advanced brightening ingredient paired with vitamin C to address dark spots and uneven tone.
Upcoming Products
Farhang has two additional products in development and open for waitlist as of October 20. The Clinical Color Glossy Peptide Lip Stain, priced at $28, is formulated as a hydrating color that supports the lip barrier and targets fine lines with continued use, launching in two shades. The Multi-Use Dual Stick, at $42, pairs a buildable blush on one end with a blendable contour on the other, working on the face, eyes and lips in two shades at launch. Both contain the TriBiome Longevity Complex and will have more shades in development.
