Cécred, the haircare brand founded by Beyoncé Knowles-Carter, launched exclusively in the UK through Space NK on September 22, 2026, and delivered the biggest brand launch in the retailer’s history. The brand met its projected full-week sales target by 1 p.m. on its first day, according to the company announcement, surpassing all previous launch-day performance for a new brand at the chain.

Demand materialized before the store opened its doors. At 8:30 a.m. on launch day, Space NK detected a surge of search traffic and immediate online sales, according to Sophie Wayman, the retailer’s category director for haircare. Wayman said the company had anticipated the brand would appeal to customers but found the actual demand “truly unprecedented.”

Cécred became available in all 90 Space NK stores and on spacenk.com from September 22 onwards.

Best-sellers and product range

Among the products available, the Restoring Hair & Edge Drops became the best seller, with the Temple Oud Hair Perfume, a recent launch, following as a strong performer. According to the brand, its formulas use what it describes as patent-pending technology and are formulated to strengthen hair, promote length retention, and boost shine across all hair types and textures.

Market importance

Grace Ray, CEO of Cécred, positioned the UK as a critical market for the brand’s trajectory. “The UK has been our largest market outside the US since day one,” Ray said. “To mark the biggest launch in Space NK’s history is a true testament to the connection we’ve built with our global community.”
