Ralph Lauren launches PoloFest in Tokyo, debut of brand’s 60th anniversary series
The three-day festival, opening in October, celebrates vintage Polo collecting and community with archival exhibitions, speakers, and rare pieces from global dealers.

Ralph Lauren is launching PoloFest, a festival the brand describes as its first global activation ahead of its 60th anniversary in 2027. The three-day event will run October 23–25 at Jing Harajuku in the Shibuya district, with free admission for members of the Ralph Lauren LINE community.
The gathering assembles collectors of vintage Polo, enthusiasts of the brand, and cultural figures to examine the line’s influence since its 1967 debut. Tokyo serves as the opening city for what Ralph Lauren said will be a succession of global festivals, each shaped by the distinctive communities and creative interpretations that define Polo in different regions.
Festival programming and marketplace
The immersive three-day experience will feature a curated archival exhibition of rare and historically significant Polo pieces, a speaker series examining the worlds that shape the brand and the people who shape its community, and a vintage marketplace. According to Ralph Lauren, seventeen vintage dealers and collectors from around the world will sell pieces from their collections.
The participating vendors span established names in vintage dealing such as The Polo Archive, Vintage Grace, Tartan Vintage, Chunk, Whistler/Chart, Procell, F as in Frank, Millennial Decorator, Vault Up, Thoroughbred NY, Nero, Metropolis Vintage, Big Apple Store, Youth Vintage, Row, Reflex, and Safari.
The brand will also sell exclusive merchandise at the festival: one-of-a-kind upcycled Polo pieces reimagined by local artisans trained in the Japanese art of textile repair and transformation.
Why Tokyo marks the debut
Ralph Lauren selected Tokyo as PoloFest’s first location because of the city’s deep relationship with the Polo line since its Japanese launch in 1976. The brand said that over the past five decades, generations of Tokyo collectors and enthusiasts have shaped a distinctive vision of Polo grounded in authenticity, craftsmanship, heritage style, and classic Americana.
The festival serves as the opening chapter in Ralph Lauren’s anniversary celebrations, positioning it as a template for future regional gatherings that will each reflect the unique communities and influences that have molded Polo around the world. The brand framed PoloFest as an exploration of Polo’s lasting cultural and emotional resonance, enabled by a structure centered on culture, community, collecting, and conversation.
