Dr.G launches on TikTok Shop as K-beauty brand expands in the U.S.
The Korean skincare brand, owned by L'Oréal since 2024, is opening a storefront on the social commerce platform with seven products and exclusive bundles.

Dr.G, a Korean skincare brand acquired by L’Oréal in 2024, announced today that it is launching on TikTok Shop, marking a significant step in its expansion across the United States. The move follows the brand’s earlier debut on Amazon and arrives as demand for Korean beauty products grows in North America.
The brand’s TikTok Shop storefront will stock seven products, among them bestsellers from its R.E.D and Black Snail ranges, with individual items selling for $25.99 to $44.99. The platform will also carry five limited bundles retailing from $29.99 to $89.99; according to the company, these represent discounts of up to 63% against standard prices.
Market Timing
According to NielsenIQ, K-beauty value sales rose 53% year over year globally. L’Oréal’s Consumer Products Division cited this momentum as it expands Dr.G’s presence in the United States, where consumers are increasingly seeking ingredient-led skincare with clinically backed formulas.
“Our ambition is to bring Korea’s most popular skincare brand, Dr.G, to every K-beauty consumer in America,” said Tina Fair, head of L’Oréal’s North American consumer products business. “Dr.G was developed by a dermatologist more than two decades ago to deliver clinic-level results at an accessible price point.”
Brand Heritage
Dr.G traces its origins to 2003, when dermatologist Dr. Gun-Young Ahn founded what became South Korea’s pioneering cosmetic dermatology clinic before launching the skincare line. The brand’s formulations incorporate ingredients central to Korean skincare science, drawing on compounds such as Centella Asiatica, PDRN and Black Snail Mucin, and are formulated to address sensitive skin.
“When I founded Dr.G, I wanted to bring the knowledge and care of dermatology beyond the clinic and into people’s everyday lives,” Dr. Ahn said in the announcement. The brand holds the No. 1 position for skincare in South Korea by penetration, according to the brand’s announcement.
Marketing Push
The TikTok Shop launch will be backed by a comprehensive U.S. marketing effort spanning social media, creator collaborations, out-of-home placements, influencer partnerships and launch events in New York and Los Angeles, according to the company.
