Kayali launches Yum Vanilla Cupcake fragrance as third addition to gourmand collection
Mona Kattan's latest scent in the brand's dessert-inspired Yum line draws from her first scent memory and arrives globally on October 30.

Kayali is expanding its dessert-inspired Yum collection with Yum Vanilla Cupcake | 108, a gourmand eau de parfum launching globally on Friday, October 30, 2026. The fragrance marks the third addition to the line, following Yum Pistachio Gelato | 33 and Yum Boujee Marshmallow | 81, according to the brand’s announcement.
Founder and CEO Mona Kattan created the scent around her first memory of vanilla, drawing inspiration from birthday cakes and the emotions tied to childhood celebrations. “Vanilla was my first scent memory, and it’s always been so comforting and familiar to me, so I wanted to create a fragrance that speaks to those moments and captures that same feeling of nostalgia and joy,” she said.
Scent Profile and Notes
The fragrance belongs to the warm and gourmand category. Its composition unfolds across three layers: lemon sugar and rainbow sprinkles with pink pepper open the fragrance, followed by white caramel, coconut flakes, sweet milk, and buttercream in the heart. Vanilla frosting, white amber, and Kayali’s signature accord form the base.
Clement Gavarry, principal perfumer at dsm-firmenich, described the creation as capturing more than just the scent of a cupcake. “We wanted to bottle the emotional memory: the joy of celebration itself,” he said. The number 108 on the bottle marks the number of formulation modifications needed to achieve the final version, according to the brand.
Pricing and Availability
Yum Vanilla Cupcake | 108 will be available in three sizes: a 50 ml bottle for $105, a 100 ml bottle for $150, and a 10 ml deluxe miniature for $32. The fragrance launches globally on October 30 at Kayali.com, Sephora, select Sephora at Kohl’s locations, and selected retailers across 30 countries.
For the holiday season, a limited-edition 50 ml sprinkle bottle will offer playful detailing on the signature diamond-shaped bottle, which takes design inspiration from traditional Middle Eastern oud bottles and is topped with an opulent jeweled cap.
Layering and Campaign
Kayali suggests several fragrance combinations featuring the new launch, pairing it with scents like Yum Pistachio Gelato | 33 for a “nostalgic dessert duet” and Boujee Kitty Caramel Milk | 22 for what the brand calls a “decadent gourmand celebration.”
The campaign stars Kattan alongside seven social media personalities, including Paul Fino, Emily LulaMay, Daim Algow, Unice Wani, Maryam Warda, Layanne Bacchi, and Bao Tran, capturing what the brand describes as the “unmistakable birthday feeling” central to the fragrance’s concept.
